god that class is grueling. The fact that we could have had Don Brandes teaching it but got ripped off with this new guy from the liberal arts department makes it all the worse. A lot of people think he's funny but IMO he's pretty obnoxious. Man, I dunno. At least after I drew this we started talking about really cool illustrators.

Scene from Wise Blood. She assigned the scene. I like Flannery O'Connor, but I like her darker works a lot more. Wise Blood is kind of quirky. I dunno, I feel like I've worked my way into some kind of cartoony stereotype in my illustration class, since the teacher assigned excerpts based on past work. I guess I'll go with something drastically different next time. Despite that, I'm pretty happy with how this is going. I've worked on it a lot and changed it around a few times. This is just a half finished value study of the tight sketch, hopefully the final will look much better. I dunno, depends on how much time I'll have to work on it. When it's done I might post the final and all of the process work just for the hell of it.

Not much is going on this week.

- I have loads of work.
- I had my RA interview Monday. I think it went well but Chris is like the hardest person to read that I've ever met, so eh.
- I'm nervous about the Miami - UNC game tomorrow, you can do it Heels! *n*)9
- Charles' bday party this weekend is Mardis Gras themed, mmm. Lookin forward to that, yes ma'am.

also, obligatory R.I.P Heath Ledger. You were one of the best. :[

Dude, Keyla JUST finished describing to me that illlustration you did in class lol. The way she was describing it I thought the teacher ended up seeing it or something :P

Let me know about Charles' party thing, I myself haven't heard the details...

	The tree is actually gonna get totally reworked if I have the time. I like the overall shape, but the bark pattern on it was kind of the half-assed result of the teacher telling me to draw the bark over and over before she would let me move on to the next stage.
